uh, wat do you mean move fiona out of the tank? Dont set ur spawning tank up yet, i'll tell u when to do that.
Make sure the breeders cant see any fish(like put paper between their tanks. ) its very important that breeders cant see any fish or that'll ruin the conditioning process.
Did u remember to by the grow-out tank for when the fry grow up? it should be at least a 20 gal, but 29 is the best. heater- 50 watts adjustable- u need to heat things up! and u got the conditioning foods for ritotio and fiona right?
anyway, i moved the female out of the tank, im going to buy what i need, (heater, more hidey holes and plants.) This sounds like a busy day! but it will be worth it!
Remember that today is the first day of conditioning! When you went out to buy your stuff, I hope you got frozen/live foods cause you need to feed that to Ritotio and Fiona for 2 weeks starting today! this may seem like a LOONG time, but plz don't cut conditioning short! Conditioning also stimulates spawning, so if u don't condition, guess wat they'll do... fight stead of spawn. get a calander, u might want to mark everyday, Im keeping track too and will notify u when conditioning is over.
Sounds like Ritotio and Fiona are on their way to spawning! I'm so happy for you! Get your 10 gallon, sponge filter, 50 watt heater, and lots of decorations, plants, and hidey-holes, the tank needs to be so PACKED (cept for a clearing in the middle, space to embrace.)that somethimes the male has trouble getting around!
