Unless your tests are reading 0 ppm Ammonia 0ppm Nitrite and 0-20ppm Nitrate your tank is not cycled. It is impossible to know if your tank is cycled without testing the water but I'd say your tank is not cycled after a week. It usually takes over a month

They're not that bad ^_^ I love mine. If you choose one with a nice temperament, then they can be great pets to have! Eat once a week, clean their tank once every three months, and touching is optional!

For the first year or so they can live in a 10 gallon, but as adults they'd need a 20. They're good in a 20 for the rest of their life, though.

do they need large vivariums or can the go in small vivs?
