Okay, PH level is 7.4... Sounds a lil sweet but okay...the Veiltail Betta is good at 7.0 However, the Fantail Goldfish is good at about 7.6 So I think I'm about right on the money.. and my water is crystal :))

Changed out 2 gallons of tankwater and replaced it with treated Aqua Safe Water Treatment water..About to do a PH test here in a about and hour after it's still filtering..Used my net to remove all excess waste and food while filtering water...Water temp is 78 degrees F....Any other suggestions for now??

Well the thing with bettas is that if they see other fish with flowy fins, they'll think it's another male and you could end up with injured/dead fish. I'd just be very cautious with what you put in with a male betta. Females however, although they don't have the nice long fins, are much more tolerable of other fish.
