Most of the traits you just listed are from hip hop and rip, LOL. Rock can be iffy, depending on what genre you listen to. Screamo is for weirdos, hands down, lol. Softer rock is for someone who likes something you can just sit down and hum to. More pop-y songs are more upbeat, for dancing and such. A couple of the darker songs highlight things people miss in everyday light. Many songs have lyrics that can be taken 3-4 different ways, depending on your own story. I guess what I'm saying is is that there's just so many different styles of rock that get pushed into one genre that sometimes it all gets a bad name ;-;

I don't listen to pop and rock becaude it usually:

Portrayes (IDK how that's spelled) women in a bad way, becomes too loud, is just annoying, and it's the same thing over and over again:
My GF/BF just dumped me,
Drugs,
Parties that involve 'bad' things,
Etc.



But that's just me.

I know those songs :P TBH, Country's depressing tendencies keep me away, along with I just don't... enjoy the tone anymore. Of their voice. It's hard to describe, I suppose.

Oh, you should really try listening to country music again. I listen to my local station, and they don't wear it out. Or, if you wanna hear my fav song, look up "As She's Walking Away" by Zac Brown Band, or "It's all about tonight" by Blake Shelton. :)
