I placed the juvenile bettas with 8 swortdtails just about their size, for them to copy the eating behavior of the swordtails.. Now one of the bettas can't stop eating every processed food still in the tank bottom! I hope his digestive system won't get sick! His/her tummy is so round and bulging already, but he/she still keeps on eating!

almost 12 hours now with no incident between the male and female, Both seem to ignore each other..

Lilly the female just put a guppy in its place (guppy stole her pellet) she didnt hurt it just a quick flare and charge.

Guppies/ Guppy fry will be removed into their own tank after the weekend. (comming upto 3 weeks of age for the fry, And I hav around 30 remaining (endler cross).

The endlers have been seperated into My grandads community of Endlers/ tetras/ rasboras.

So there will be NO cross breeding issues hopefully LOL

There are only 2 fry in a heavily planted 8 gallon container outside. lol. I think that's enough room for them. And for the next batch of fry, i bought some very large plastic basins. About 2.5 feet in diameter and more than 1.5 ft deep. The second spawn i have is 2 weeks old. I'll put them in the basins when they are about a month old.

Ah Right she had gone a really really pale almost clear colour.. with two horrizontal Black bars.

So I presumed it was stress from being shipped..

I cant belive it took my Male 5 days to eat, where as she is being a little piggy already

Thats right...also, horizontal doesn't always mean stress....both are forms of fishy communication and cammo of sorts.....

~Horizontal stripes are stress stripes right?

    And Vertical breeding stripes..

When she arrived she was really light coloured and had Horizontal stripes, which have vanished
