I exactly follow your treatment plan. I use thermometer so the temperature of water change is exactly the same as his quarantine water. His caudal fin is growing but I don't know if this is a new fin growth. I tried to find on line pictures how new growth look like, but I wasn't successful. From descriptions I found that it should be clear, transparent, fragile, thin like cellophane growth and our betta has like thick, gel growth. His dorsal fin started change color from white to more redder, natural color.
He is eating very well and is very active

I would like to ask you question about treatment water. Our betta is in his 6 day salt water treatment (with IAL added) recommended by you. I prepared this water 6 days ago in amoount enough to cover all 10 days of treatment. Sholud I use this water for all 10 days, or should I prepare new fresh one and add salt, IAL + dechlorinator?
    Thank you

I love what you do with your Natural Planted Tanks. Right now, I'm working, but once I retire, I think I will give it a try.

how much and how often are the water changes; 30-50% once a week, what is the source water used; Tap, additives; Aqueon Betta Conditioner 5ml and temp;77-79.
Okay :) I'm getting a good light tomorrow so that should help..

Okay. Thank you very much :)
And also, one more question, do I need to filter that tank? My Anubias and moss balls suddenly fell apart last week and now his anacharis is kind of...clouding the water. >_>

    Hi, OFL :)
Just a quick question~ I have a 5.5gal tank with one male betta, heated, but not filtered. I just got him a few bunches of anacharis and I wondered if I needed to get a different light? he just has the regular light that comes with the tank set. I believe it's flouresent. If so, what do I get? LED? or..?
    Thank you:)
