Hey bloo97...hangin in there......overall just fine...thanks for asking...how are you?

weluvbettas-only way to tell is if you give it a try, never know about these guys, make sure they have a way to get out of his site...lol....and have a back-up plan. You may need to increase your water changes a bit-just a extra 50% water only change a week should do.

If you moved the minnows to the 7g that would work and then you could lower their water temp too and maybe get a nice colony going with a species only tank.
And in the 10g by adding 3 more females to the 1 female would work and you may want to bump that number up to make 6 females since it is heavy planted, still need a back up plan...anything can happen with sorority tanks...I would try and get related females to increase your chances......

You would be really pushing the load and could risk aggression issues by adding the 3-female along with the 5 minnows. Depending on the number and type of plants-water quality may or may-not be fine. I would have a back-up plan for either the bettas or minnows and monitor the water quality.

Make a water change and rinse the filter media in the removed tank water and add the Betta, and then twice weekly 50% water changes thereafter.
    Look forward to seeing pic.....
