    First congrats......

I don't feed microworms, but in general you want to feed once the fry are free swimming (I know you know that already) and look at their stomach, once it is nice and round stop feeding, I feed my fry 2-3 times a day-once I start adding food I start making daily water changes too-poor water quality is the biggest killer of fry. If the tank was mature (over 6momths old) with live plants and a snail or two-the tank should have lots of micro critters too for the fry during the first 3-5 days from free swimming stage.

    Your welcome....

and yes, a hand full of peat moss is all I would use in a 10g tank and the smaller tanks a pinch...

weluvbettas-you don't want to use too much peat moss a small amount is fine mixed with the soil-know way to tell if the soil is fish safe or not, if it has a lot of additives it can cause algae problems

Betta Slave-the eggs are okay and normal to have different shapes and sizes, some male will hold eggs for a while in their mouth, if they are bad he will eat them and that is what you want him to do too...

I am so excited for both of you guys, a new spawn and a new planted soil based tank...how neat is that......

    Hi again OFL,
Sorry, I know you're already answering abother member's question, but once you're done, I'm wondering...
Some of the eggs aren't perfectly round... some are a bit misformed and some like triangles with rounded edges... is this normal?
And also, I saw him pick up a few eggs in his mouth. He didn't go directly to the bubblenest, he flared at Hattie first. Then he blew a few bubbles. But the eggs he picked up were triangle-shaped... did he swallow them?
