    Very true..it would be hard to get a pic, however, hydra generally are not harmful to adult Betta-they can kill fry and even give you a tiny sting-doesn't hurt too bad but it can startle you a bit...at least it does me.....

    I can try and hopefully it will come out because these things are faint. If it is hydra, hopefully it wont harm my fry.

    This is the great unknown white algae I swear. I cant find info on the net on it or anything. Im pretty sure its not hydra because I see no tentacles. When it sways it looks like an umbrella when its turned inside out by a gust of wind.

    Are you sure its not hydra...that is the only thing I can think of....Most critters in our tanks are harmless....

    Have you ever had, seen, or heard of a type of white algae that looks like an inverted jellyfish swaying in the current? Its on the tank walls, decorations, and live plants. Its not hydra.
