Its hard to tell from the pic...but what I can see...looks like normal pigment...if he is perking up and starting to eat with the treatment....I wouldn't worry....
Its better to use a therapeutic dose of aquarium salt-starting at 1tsp/gal-3tsp/gal and if you have any tannins to add-use that too-it will help toughen the fins/scales and help with healing, stress....I would premix some treatment water in a 1gal jug to use for water changes and limit that to 50% daily-too many 100% can be stressful even for treatment...Pretty fella by the way.....

Hello, OFL I need some help, I know you are someone that can assist me in this problem, please tell me if there is something wrong with this VT that I recently took in as a rescue, with moderate fin rot, and has been in a 1.75 gal Krittr keeper with AQ salt treatment for 3days, and now he has some red in his face, and eyes, I am using 1/2 tsp for his KK and doing 100% water changes daily. His fin rot is clearing up, but now I am concerned with the red in his face and around his eyes.
