It should, however, unless you have a test kit to monitor for the first 4 weeks-I recommend a second water only 50% during the cycling process-along with the regular weekly with vacuum to err on the side of caution.
Hello. I may have asked you this before but I don't remember....But if I have a 5 gallon filtered tank with a single betta, even if I just set up a brand new tank and equipment, I only have to do one weekly PWC and the cycle will take care of itself, right?
A lot of information is based on the writers personal experience.....This is why so much of the information can vary so much. Sometimes you have to experiment on your own and find out what works in your case....A lot of these numbers are averages...not exact......Too much can vary when dealing with live creatures.
So I have been reading a lot of articles about proper temps for a betta and almost every one is different lol. But as an example: Is the page that says a betta's water temperature should be between 72 and 82 with an average of 76-78 used the correct article while the one that says a betta's water should be 78-80 and they start getting lethargic at 75 incorrect?
