- Hey OFL,
Wondering if you can help me (again. lol)
I'm usually good at identifying parasites, but right now I'm stumped/worried. (Excuse the endless babbling in advance!)
Right... so Amaryllis' poop had a little white thread on it, and the regular stuff was at the bottom... and I'm not sure, but there might've been some white attached to the regular stuff too, but it wasn't stringy at all. I fed her frozen bloodworms earlier, so that might be why, and I'm using Prazi-Pro, which helps prevent/treat tapeworm-like parasites, but I'm still really paranoid... what do you think? She's very happy, very active, eats like a pig, and ready to breed... hasn't shown signs of tapeworms before, either... but I can't help but wonder.
- Hi OFL,
I've finally (after much though) decided to breed Hattie again. Her fins are looking much better and she's acting normal :) I just have a question I was wondering you could help me with.
It's the official first day in the tank (I let him out a few hours ago yesterday) and he hasn't built much of a bubblenest... just lining the sides of the cup. One of the lines is pretty thick, but still very small. If I heard correctly, you said that some of your bubblenests weren't built until the female was released? Would that be okay if I released him tomorrow and he hadn't built much on it? Last time I tried he worked on the bubblenest (even though it was huge) when Hattie was out of the vase.
Thank you! I really appreciate you helping me.
- Hi again OFL,
Sorry, I know you're already answering abother member's question, but once you're done, I'm wondering...
Some of the eggs aren't perfectly round... some are a bit misformed and some like triangles with rounded edges... is this normal?
And also, I saw him pick up a few eggs in his mouth. He didn't go directly to the bubblenest, he flared at Hattie first. Then he blew a few bubbles. But the eggs he picked up were triangle-shaped... did he swallow them?
