Thanks for the warm welcome to! I just got my second new betta (no-name yet). My family breeds fish in our outdoor pond and horse troughs but now that I am in college I have brought the hobby along and am trying out my first ever 10 gallon tropical setup. (Much different than a pond!)

My first betta died of fin rot and after a few months being fish-less I just got a new guy a few days ago. He has settled well into his new home but yesterday started acting lethargic and had clumped fins. I did a 20 percent water change today and he has really responded well to that and has gained back all of his color.

I just realized too that the heater has broken and is not putting off enough heat as it should. Do you think that it will be okay for him to be in a half heated tank till friday? And do you also think that his lethargy is due to the tank cycling again?
