She was gently scooped up from the tank in a cup (Showing no signs of a fight) and gently placed into the ice water, when she immediately ceased her laboured breathing and became deathly still.
I put her into the freezer again to make sure of her passing away, though Im sure it happened in a matter of seconds.
I feel so horrible to have ended her life.
I mean, Im always upset when one of the pets dies (Who isnt?) But to end one is totally unbearable.
Im so happy she had her children before I acted though. At least they have a chance at living and, heh, theyre part of her.
    Gah. I feel so horrible.
    Dont you ever?

On the other side (Pfft, as if this matters compared to the poor girl)
Pickle and Nenet are doing great.
Nenets almost completely grown up, my litle girl, and Pickles thriving.
Thanks for listening to my endless rant.
    It must be annoying.
Sorry, but I really needed to vent T-T

So last night I concluded that I would put a bucket of ice cold water in the freezer, let it ice completely over, until it wass frigid,
break the thick ice and put her in it, after reading intesively on the topic and hearing multiple people say it takes a matter of three seconds.
I woke up this morning and found that Preggers was having her babies, one by one. Ive counted eight over the period of today, some heartbreakingly small, due to the fact they were malnourished, Im guessing, for over a preiod of weeks.
When I returned later, she was floating almost completely around on her side at the top of the water, and I acted on the behalf of my compassion.

    Hey there.
Ive got some bad news about the guppies.
So while I was gone, I bought another female for my peacock boy to chase around,
she was real bright, darker body, a huge orange tail, and she had babies three days after I bought her while I was on an errand.
I came home and counted about eight of them, this was about a week ago, and about six remain, doing very well, able to stay away from the adults and now incapable of being sucked up by the filter, which is very good. They look like they are going to be half blacks.

    Anyway, on to the tragedy.
You remember Preggers? She had a gaping cut on the side of her body, below her dorsal fin, so bad her health was drastically affected.
Preggers wouldnt eat, and would hang out under the plants close to the filter, showing absolutely no signs of activity all day and night.
Her cut gradually became bigger and thus more painful, and I was completely sorry for the girl, still carrying her babies, who I was afraid were miscarried.
