Okay you do have the filter, and that's good. You will also need a thermometer, and a heater. Since you have a small tank, you only need a small heater. I'm not sure about live plants, just asked DramaQueen. Sorry I couldn't help you there. Have a good day.
Hi cclfisherman. Welcome To Fishforum. First I must say that the type of food you have may work with your fish. My bettas eat Aqua culture pellets. A one gallon bowl may work, but you need a heater(small one) A thermometer to monitor temp (safe temp 76-82) An most of all with a bowl ,you will need to do frequent water changes(100%) I think. I have a 5 gal tank, and I changed the water once a week(50%). Also I have a 10 gal, that I haven't set up yet. If you need anymore advice. Just click on my page and ask DramaQueen.
