Tetras wont work until theyre way older, and can handle the filter

I prefer to spawn with a filter, usually a corner filter. But a power filter is used if I spawn in a 5-10 gallon.

By big enough I meant the fry ;)

A large bubling filter, set on the lowest settin possible is fine. Later a small power filter with flow control should be fine, but make sure theyre big enough.

Of course you could spawn in the 10 gallon, no moving needed :)

I reccomend at least a 20 gallon tank for a growout. But a 10 gallon (according to one of my betta books) is fine as a growout. Just be sure to provide good filtration.
