started treatment this morning, but he doesn't look so good. he spends most of his time on the bottom, but he comes up for air and food. (at least he's still eating. if anything, he almost seems a little hungrier. I'm hoping this is a good sign.) should I put peach in another kritter keeper? he still looks fine, but I'm worried that the water might contaminate him.
P.S., What do I do with Merlin? He's still on the other side of Peach, but Peach isn't showing any symptoms. should I move one of them? I don't have another tank set up right now, but I have all the supplies.
Hi dragonfish, Saphira here. I think Merlin has ich. he has a little white spot on his back, and one on his head. I noticed this yesterday, and I just stopped by petco and got some meds. they only had one kind, but my parents didn't want to drive all the way across town to petsmart. It's called tetra lifeguard and It's a five day treatment. it is in the form of tablets. have you ever used this kind before?
it is about 17 inches tall, by 24 inches long, by 12 and a half inches wide. I actually have two of them with hoods, both are exactly the same model. I also have three other 10 gal. lying around, but I don't know if that matters.
thank you for your help with Merlin! you're right about my divider being store-bought, I got it from petsmart and it is very see through. Merlin does seem very intimidated by Peach, so I'm going to the store tomorrow to get the stuff I need to make my own divider like you said, and I'm also going to stop by the pet store to get some frill to provide more hiding places for Merlin. (and Peach too, their tank is pretty sparse at the bottom.) Again, thank you.
Hi dragonfish, Saphira here. thank you for your wonderful advice on sorority tanks. I happen to have a spare 20 gal. lying around (not a 20 gal. long unfortunately, just regular.) how many ladies do you think I could put in there once I set it up?
