Hey need some help, my tank sprang a leak and I lost all my water, well most of it, I had to buy a tank but now my fish are getting ammonia burns because the tank started to cycle, what can I do to quicken the cycle?

Just added Prime and live bacteria? Should I dump what little bit of water I have from the old tank in?
Plants will help? I need floating since the cats will knock anything else loose in the bottom....what do you recommend
