    Hi Byron
In how much water i should keep my turtle?
I have bought two red eared slider baby turtles and i am keeping them in 12 by 12 inch of fish tank and i was told by the shop keeper not to keep turtle in water, only the water should be till their legs to feel wet, keeping turtles in water will make their eyes blurred. So i have this question that whether i should keep them in water or in the way as the shop keeper has told me. Please help as i am very concerned about my turtles.

Turtles need sufficient water to swim, but equally they must have a sufficient dry area (land, dry rock or wood) so they can get completely out of the water and dry. The light should be over the dry area for warmth, an incandescent bulb does this well, and will allow the turtle to dry fully. Byron.
