Thank you for your words of encouragement. I'm sure your bettas enjoy their home, with a caring person like you for a mom. :)

Sweet of you to message, Tiffany! I'm not sure which one you're referring to though... ;p But I've only posted a few pics here, so here are my guesses -

The one in my avatar was Laszlo, a purple-y copper DTHM. He faded to a greyish hue towards the end of his life. He was my absolute fave, because he was so chill. But that was also probably because he was old when I got him.

The one in my albums was Dr. Frankenfurter, a copper black dragon HMPK who loved to beach himself on his banana leaves. His dragon scaling was so thick, it even covered his eyes at times. They looked like pearls! Unfortunately, I lost him to an unknown disease. He had this weird flaky growth that no treatment could alleviate.

They both gave me so many wonderful memories. :') Both of them are buried in my garden.

I was never in color guard, I was in winter guard and no. I haven't been for three years. Need to focus on my major.

Oh goodness, my very first betta? Or the first one I posted on here? My very first betta was a cornflower blue VT way back in the 90's. Just like everyone else, I didn't know much about keeping fish, let alone bettas. He had a hard life in a small, unheated Kritter Keeper; was feed freeze-dried bloodworms; and died an early death. He didn't move around much, and I thought he was "boring". Luckily for everyone involved, I moved on to keeping and breeding fancy goldfish, and as I learned more, I advanced to different and more difficult types of fish. It was only a matter of time before I decided to try bettas again. What a difference time and experience makes! My first betta that I posted here was a young, dark blue, super delta tail. He lived in a planted, heated, well-maintained 1 gallon and was lively, full of attitude, and lots of fun to watch. Sadly, he fell victim to "graphite disease" and died before I could figure out what was wrong.

Aw thanks! Bubbles doesn't do many tricks, he just can chase my finger, jump for food(once he jumped 0.75" for a bloodworm! ) and he sometimes swims though a hoop. I'm trying to teach him to accociate the tap sound with food. (I tap the tank, then give him some food or a treat.) Then he swims up to the top when I tap the tank. I'm still working on that trick tough.

Ugh I get a great grade on a test. So As a reward and because I was in the area, I see pet supplies plus and desided to let myself go in to "look". I left with blood worms, a grumpy cat car magnet, omega one pellets ( I already have the omega one betta flacks) and Api Tc tetracycline. For the price of $25.00. I've spent probably around $500.00 for my bettas.
