Taffy just ate his first blood worm and learned how to flare on command! Now I can finally teach him how to jump. After he learns that he rest is easy.

Water conditioner alone does not cure fin rot. Are you sure it was fin rot?

And no, AQ salt will barely do anything for Velvet, and just want to make sure; are you sure it is velvet and not his normal iridescence?

Velvet is a nasty disease so I wouldn't spend much on herbal or minimal treatments. You want to nip it in the butt as quick as you can, I use Cupramine by SeaChem with amazing results; very easy to dose too. 1 drop per gallon the first day and the bottle has the rest of the treatment. While you treat them, best to bump their heater temperature up to 86 if you can and throw a towel/blanket over their tank. Not only does it keep them calm but it helps prevent velvet from multiplying; which is what you DON'T want them to do!

I no longer have a sorority, and Snowbird is my only betta now. All the rest are rescues up for adoption.

    Thanks. :)

I think ADD is over diagnosed and a catch all, but I do believe it exists. I think the spike in it is due to all the medications and drugs taken in our society in the last 50 years. My two nephews had true cases of ADD and ADHD respectively. People without the disorder react differently to their meds than they do because their brains work differently. In the end, alternative therapies worked the best for them. I think that is a huge problem. Over medicating the population. It's a vicious cycle imo.
