I got a new part time job helping a fantasy place for people with dementia to live and get 24/7 care. ^_^

hey Tiffanylucky - sorry if I've already replied to this. I can't remember if I did or not. All pics of my bettas are posted in the journal Mich's Fishes, so you can check them out there if you want. Thanks for the message!

That's okay. I can really only offer very basic advice for everything but velvet, because this is about the only disease my wild bettas seem to suffer from.

Cute! Maya's one of my favorite names :3 one of my good friend has 6 chihuahuas, it's always a blast to visit her house, there's always someone wanting attention. Eskimos are so cute! Ashes is technically my mom's dog, my dog's name is Buffy, they're siblings and look and act totally different. They're shelties. Can't argue with that, I did the same thing. This is my first semester at a real university, and it's a bit overwhelming. What are you going to school for? My dogs weren't barkers, but now that they're getting older, they bark at every little thing.

Hmm, looks like too many cooks in that kitchen; I don't think I can add any new insight, so I'll just watch for now. Since the fish have been kept in that condition for so long, they most likely have too much ammonia damage to the gills by now. There's nothing that can be done sadly.

I find the mts (Malaysian trumpet snails) only get out of control in a tank with plentiful food. I have a LOT of them in my 55g as I overfeed to ensure by bottom dwellers get some food (the mid and upper level swimming fish and such hogs!). Don't feed them every day, maybe once every 3-5 days. If you feel like their #s are going up cut back the food ration or wait longer between meals, or both. Remember they can also eat algae (mostly diatoms aka brown algae..though they don't climb around the tank as much as other snails), left over betta food, and dead plant matter, so try not to let any of those be in excess in the tank.

Thank you! Her name's Ashes, she'll be 12 next month. I miss her a lot since I moved out of my parents' house. I see your bio says you have three dogs? what are their names? :3

Marching band is awesome! I was drum major/mellophone. My college doesn't have a marching band either so I'm probably going to march a drum crops instead!
