Tanks do take up a lot of time! I had 11 at one time, but have slimmed down to 7. The hours I work, do not allow me to do water changes during the week, so ever thing is done on the weekends. I do enjoy my tanks, but have only bought 1 new fish in the past couple years. My goal is to slim down, and only have two tanks. I still take care of the ones I have, and feel attached to them, but these fish will not be replaced when they pass on from old age.
Hopefully your girl Will some day enjoy your tanks. I don't have any kids, but I know they take up more time, and need a lot more care, than fish tanks. You really do have your hands full.
Oh im sorry to hear about your Orange Cromide. I had that happen with a lovely angelfish that I was treating also. He perked up and then just died and I had got really attached to him. Knocked my confidence a bit after that. Yr right..it is a constant challenge! This little tank with the BBG's is the smallest Ive ever had and its caused me more problems than all my other tanks over the years put together. You never stop learning do you? I have a 2 yr old little girl with Down Syndrome who has started to get very jealous of the tanks and the amount of time I spend looking after them, so Im now restricted to doing my maintenance late evening which is not ideal..its 1.40am here and im still faffing around lol
your tanks are absolutely beautiful! Really interesting unlike a lot of run-of-the-mill tanks Ive seen on different forums. You really know what you are doing dont you?!? How many years have you been keeping fish? x
I just looked through all your pics and I must say. WOW! You have so many fish! That's awesome! How many tanks do you have? I wish I could have alot of fish too, you must have alot of room in your house.
Wow, I wish I could have such a big tank in my wall too! Very very nice! And your 10gal snail, corrie and betta tanks is breath taking for such a small tank...The snails obviously don't eat the plants right, what kind of snails are they?
