no i have Dojo Loaches [Misgurnus Anguillicaudatus] and Black Kuhli Loaches [Pangio Oblonga] now :)
my Dojos are very active now that all four are together
they swim back and forth along the front of the glass not normally anywhere else
i think its because i sit on my bed with my laptop and they are directly across from me and either want attention or are just putting on a show for me
i know dojo loaches tend to have personalities and get attached to their owners not sure about others but probably :)
and when they see their owner they'll get really active
so your loaches are probably just giving you a nice show :)
same goes for my Kuhli's they normally just sit and hide but when i look into the tank they'll swim up and down in the glass and around and try to get my attention :)
not sure about the thermometre because i have the ones on the outside of the tank even though they are super hard to read lol it may be to the effect of the sponge filter with my Kuhli's they'll swim up and down the glass between the glass and the filter so maybe your loaches are using the thermometre like mine use my sponge filter
im assuming you mean your dwarf loaches right? yes you are right one of their common names are "Sid"
or scientifically named Yasuhikotakia Sidthimunki
they shoal so if you have a few of them then they are probably playing or putting on a show :)
do you use gravel or sand in the Drawf's tank? a nice sandy substrate is preferred because i think they will burrow like other loaches and its less harmful for their sensitive barbel area :)
i have a very limited loach species choice here in my city but when i get the job at the petstore ill be making lots and lots of orders that i will!
