FishinPole, yeah my tank issue turned out okay, I got some more females from my friend who breeds them as well and got me started with guppies. I think he wanted to smack me upside the head! I got a new male Cichlid, and his mate, and the red
Swordtail is having a ball with his harem. I'm basically starting all over again, I only have a few remaining guppies left from my original set, but the fry from the first males are starting to mature and Houdini, is in with the red
Swordtail as well. He's starting to get his colors.
Money Mitch, Your only saying that because I haven't pulled you over yet, LOL! Some Officers forget they weren't born cops, they became them. I am lucky enough to have people skills and realize, I won't ever save the world, but I can catch more fly's with honey than I ever will with vinegar.
Amphitrite, Thank you, It's a zoo around here most days. But I couldn't ask for a better family than this. They give me something to believe in!
jeaninel, I think your talking about that little shack with the gated fence behind us. I only pay the rent for it, there's a family that I let live in there on a 4 - 8 year contract. If I let them stay any longer they mess up everything. You should see my conference hall, I rent that out to a bunch of guy's that have more criminal charges on their records than a pro football team!
As for Zeus, No he was not a former police dog, He was owned by an elderly woman who ended up getting dementia, I fostered him with the intent to return him to her if she recovered, unfortunately she ended up with Alzheimer's and Zeus was then adopted by us. I found Brittany on a call one night, I went to a house and she was in a pet cage, I commented on how pretty she was and the owner asked If I wanted her. Turns out he got her to train for hunting, but never had the time, she was either in the cage or tethered to it by a 6 ft. piece of rope, (I found this out from the neighbors) So I took her home with me, she is still very skittish, won't climb stairs, and is afraid of her own shadow, but she's slowly coming around.
