My Fish Keeping When and how did you become involved in fish keeping?
Over a divorce of friends that involved them both moving and having a 10g they gave me to take care of (horribly overstocked and unmaintained thing...needless to say I lost plenty fish the first week) so then I bought a 55g for them all and it went downhill on the MTS from there.
What kind of fish do you currently keep?
Various Tetra,
Kissing Gourami, Barbs, Shrimps and a Betta (Earl)
What kind of setup?
Set up HAS TO BE planted no if and's or but's there - Plants plants & more plants I say, love plants
What was your most challenging fish keeping experience?
My most recent one when I learned about sick fish after all the yrs of having tanks now the hard way when I had a heavy ick breakout over night on Cardinals
...actually anything around this new 55g was challenging incl NOT to take it out back with the shotgun.
What advice would you like to share with the FishForum community?
Try aiming for natural set ups; it is not complicated and larger tanks are easier then smaller one's and planted tanks are MUCH easier to keep then you would think at first
And as I learned on the 55g no matter how much of a headache one tank can be do NOT give up, vent here and have patience and accept help and all will be good.
What would be your dream tank?
A 55g cube...and a normal ~80g with
Discus.....ahhh yea I have dreams alright...
What do your friends/family think of your hobby?
Husband loves to watch the fish he *can* keep the tanks going if i'm gone but he rather not get involved in the maintenance and chemistry matter
Do you name your fish? If so, what are some of the names?
Only the Betta he's called Earl
What fish have you had the longest?
My Boeseman's Rainbow's had them as baby's raised myself and fun time with them for many years till we moved.
What is your favorite fish of all time?
Killi fish definitely thou I love just about any fish anyway (diff colors, diff personality..hard to only chose ONE)
One a scale of one through ten, how would you rate your interest in fish keeping? (1=I hate fish, 10=Completely and hopelessly obsessed)

Apart from the obvious fish addiction....Anything outdoors really; hiking, caving, off roading, target practice, long walks with my dogs...anything along those lines

Yup, 2 dogs and a BUNCH of well fed critters & deers out back

Really just ignorant & stupid people; may that be while driving or awaiting a storm or anything in the day to day life where people just act stupid. Or people that ONLY see negative things around them and only believe in negative things rather then enjoy life and be HAPPY and RELAX.

You know its been a long time since I seen a real good movie...

Fringe, The Unit, Eureka, NCIS, Dexter, 4400...that kinda shows....and of cause any Jeff Foxworthy or Wanda Sykes

Oh I can eat 24/7 anything really...anything but meat, fish, chicken (vegetarian) LOVE pasta and home made Italian style pizza, love spicy foods.....oh and sweets...which gal wouldn't love sweets

Thanksgiving cause it seems to be THE only one hubby & I have managed to always spent together w/out deployments or business trips of some other sort
