Hey, whats up ya'll......do any of you have anytips on keeping Tiger Barbs. im a Goldfish kind of person.. but i put all my Goldfish outside in a minipond.. and bought a school of six Tigers.... Any tips on keeping.
Welcome to the forum!!! I have Tiger Barbs. 8 of them to be exact. They are...playful little fish, very active kind of naughty but really fun to watch. What size tank do you have them in?
Welcome to TFK, wufish. Tiger Barbs are so nice looking but much too nippy for my community tanks. I've read numerous times that a 55gl should be the minimum size tank for adult Tigers. If I was to ever keep them I'd go 55 for them.
Welcome to the forum. Inga is right...playful, active and a little naughty. They need the right tankmates and like lots of swimming room. I have mine in a 55 with a Green Texas, a female Salvini, BN pleco and a Raphael cat and everyone behaves themselves. The Tigers mostly squabble among themselves but never do any damage to eachother.
