Hi all, I have been lurking in the forums for a while reading and learning much. I am glad i found this forum, the information has been invaluable and so have the many varied viewpoints and methodologies.
As for the tanks. We currently have 2 1/2 tanks, One is a 30 gallon planted aquarium in our living room with 2 blue angels, 1 Golden Gourami, 2 Panda Corys, 2 amano shrimp, 3 siamese algae eaters and a handful of nerrite snails. I went pretty deep with the Eco-Complete substrate hoping more was better. For filtration I have a aquatop cf 500 in the basement and a powerhead in the corner to help with more flow and aeration (sp?). Our lighting is an AquaticLife t5 HO 36" on a timer running 10 hours per day.
The second tank is my Daughter 10 gallon with fake plants, 5 Tiger barbs and 1 Golden Gourami (the main tank had 2 gouramis but together they were bullies)
The 1/2 tank is the beginning of a saltwater setup. It is 20 gallons and its main purpose is to colonize live rock. Our goal is to put in a 92 gallon corner aquarium in our living room this winter so i figured i could start cultivating some live rock over the summer in preperation for the winter project.
Ohh and the 30 gallon has been up for about 3 months now so it is still a very young tank. Sorry for the crap camera phone pics, Wife had the camera.
Thanks for reading and see you around the forums.
Lotsa air bubbles in the 5th pic make the water look bad.
