[Babyfins]

Hi all!

I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself. A few months ago, I brought home Rainbow (our crowntail betta) and didn't know anything about the process of cycling a tank. But I am happy to say now, that the tank is fully cycled and has been for the past several weeks with great success!

I found this forum after doing many, many searches for tips on cycling a tank and I wanted to join! He is currently in a 1 gallon but I am going to get him a 5 or 10 gallon palace as soon as I can! And now I can use what I've learned from this forum to do a fishless cycle.

Are you sure that's only a gallon? It looks exactly like the Aqueon mini-bow which is 2.5 gallons. I have 5 of them myself.

It's a 1 gallon Aqueon Mini Bow. I wish it at least a 2.5 gallon. He is a little guy so it may look like he has more room. He's quickly outgrowing it though.

Thanks Tomsk! I enjoy watching him. I had a small issue with the filter being too strong for him. He hated it! but now it just barely ripples the top of the water and has finally balance all the bacteria. I was sooooo happy when finally saw 0 Nitrites and Ammonia and had my nitrates between 5. and 10. Now I just do a small water change every few days. I can't wait to upgrade but it will be torture to wait for the new tank to cycle. I don't know if I have enough bacteria in my 1 gallon to seed a new tank.

I'm so happy I joined a forum where people enjoy this as much as I do or maybe even more!!
