Hey Everyone!
My name is Thomas and I'm 19. I live in the middle of nowhere out in the Ozark Hills of southwestern Missouri. Here is a brief history of my experiences in aquaculture: I've been keeping fish off and on since I was about 5 when I set up my first 10 gallon tropical community tank. Instead of collecting comic books, action figures, or baseball cards; I would go to the pet store every couple weeks to pick out a new fish or two for my tank. During the summers of 2009 and 2010, I was an intern at the Neosho National Fish Hatchery. It was my job to clean up after, feed, and stock Rainbow trout for recreation purposes. I also worked with the Federally endangered Pallid Sturgeon. During the summer of 2010, I cared for 7,000 juvenile Pallid Sturgeon between, which were divided into 40 (1,000 gallon) tanks. I and others from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Missouri Department of Conservation, and Nebraska Department of Fish and Game tagged and released all 7,000 juvenile Pallid Sturgeon into the Missouri River. Well that about sums it up! I look forward to chatting with all of you!
Thomas
