Hi everybody! my name is Tyler. Im new here, and i am doing a project to see if fish-keeping relieves stress i am splitting my allowance into 1 for a 55-gallon reef tank and the other for a regular allowance. i'll talk about the tank later. this is my intro thread, so just a welcome, no need to get into detail. i have been hunting for forums that don't make minors have to do all this permission stuff, so far i am on 2 other forums. i have seen members on here are nice and i decided to join.

Fish keeping does relieve stress for the most part, some times it causes stress, but most of the time it is all good!

ok well nobody i my area knows it does, at least none of the teachers at school do, but it would be nice if i could show them, and to teach them not to be cruel to them if they relieve stress. last years science fair winner did an experiment on Goldfish to see which type of substance would make them repel fastest, and later flushed them. besides, i once had a dream about having a beautiful reef tank with a royal gramma. i just LOVE the royal grammas.

i know there are some NY reefing clubs so it wouldnt hurt to look into joining one. everyone in a club will share the same interests, knowledge and it offers a great place to pick up equipment.

thank u very much, 1fish2fish. what they did was take an eyedropper fill it with some type of household item, and squirt it at the goldfishes face and measured which made the Goldfish swim away the fastest. i believe baking soda was 1 of the substances they used and came out as the winner.
