I recently got a 37 gallon tank; empty, no water, no fish, no accessories.
I'm looking at a tank with fishes of course, some live coral and live rocks in the future if that's possible?
Would that be a salt water tank? I'm open to suggestions and thankful for the help
a tank with coral and live rocks would be a salt water tank which is not reccomended for a beginner (assuming you're a beginner). i'd recommend you start with a few hardy fish to get the hang of it, then later upgrade to maybe some fish that require a little more care. a few hardy fish are tetras, danios, and mollies. keep in mind that tetras are shoaling fish and must be kept in groups of at least 6+

a FOWLR ( fish only with live rock ) refers to a saltwater/marine tank containing fish and live rock, no corals.
freshwater would be the easier, cheaper way of having a fish tank. if you wanted a saltwater system dont be discouraged. plenty of reading and questions will put you on the right track of keeping a saltwater tank.
