Hi Fish Forum! I'm a member over at Aquaria Central, too, and I decided to join up here because I recently bought my first betta, and this site seems to have a really active and friendly betta forum.
I've been keeping fish for about two years now, ever since I inherited a 10 gallon tank with two gouramis and two
Goldfish. After eventually figuring that I was doing
everything wrong, I almost gave up, but by then I was interested in the hobby, so I stuck with it, and finally I'm just beginning to feel like I'm not a total newbie anymore.
My husband got interested in the fish, too, and now we have three tanks between the two of us. He's turned out to have a green thumb when it comes to planted tanks. I entered a bunch of details about our tanks in the section for individual aquariums.
Outside of the aquarium hobby, I'm in grad school for philosophy, currently working on my dissertation and teaching a summer logic course for undergrads (i.e., ruining their summer
).
I LOVE to procrastinate by browsing forums like this, so I'm looking forward to meeting everyone here!
