Will Gouramis eat fry?

I want to get a dwarf gourami or a couple of cherry barbs but am afraid they will eat my platy fry. Does anyone know if they will be safe with either? Thanks!

If your platy fry are small enough to fit into the gouramis or the cherry barbs mouths then they will be eaten 90% guaranteed but if you let them grow so that they are bid enough that they dont fit into the other fishes mouths and you think they are fast enough to get away from the other fish then it is possible. Since barbs are pretty agressive you may want to wait until your fry are bigger and start changing colour.

There is a large chance they will eat them. If you give the fry good hiding spots like a lot of plants they might live.
