Wierd dive to bottom of tank? what in the world?

ok i was just cleaning the outside of the glass of my tank and two of my platy fish just dove to the bottom of the tank into the plants and just stayed there with no movement at all. they were face down in the gravel and when i tapped the glass bc they seemed dead, they shot up and were fine. what in the world is up with this crazy act?

Maybe your sudden movement on the outside of the tank frightened them for a little while. So, the dove and hid?

Maybe they're that new species of ostrich platy.

3 Platies, 1 molly mut, 1 Siamese algae eater, 2 Neolamprologus Facicula cichlids
