79 - 80 is quite intense! I keep my fry tank at 26 degrees. The bigger ones are acclimated to 20 - 21 degrees and then placed in my unfiltered tub pond. I currently have fry outdoors and they do fine.
Just be sure that you don't fry your fry.
BTW: Live bearers like to breed and spawn in cooler temperatures between 22 - 26 degrees. See the pond thread for my posts.
