What do I feed the new Guppy fry?

Hey guys! Today one of my Guppies gave birth! :) I was just wondering what to feed the little ones. It wont be possible to go to my pet store until tuesday; although I will try hard tomorrow after work to get what I need. Currently at home I have fish flakes, Guppy granules, sinking algae waffers, and frozen brine shrimp. If I can use any of these let me know.

Thanks in Advance!

Welcome to the forum!

If you can get your hands on smaller fry foods like baby brine shrimp, that would be a nice addition. Otherwise, I'd just feed them crushed-up versions of what the adults eat. Maybe make a mix of the flakes, algae wafers and granules, smash it all up really small, and feed them that?

I have had a few black molly fries previously and i noticed that whatever i fed them they were eating but the main thing is that whatever you feed them should be so small that it should fit in their mouth so follow the advise given by iamnbatman. I think all what you have listed is sufficient for the fishes to eat.

Just use the crushed up flake food.

When you can get to the store, "first bites" or other fry foods they might have will be good. There's lots of liquid foods as well, though I don't really like those personally. I recommend mostly freshly hatched baby brine shrimp, though. You can buy shrimp hatching kits.

Thanks all for the advice, my new fry are all eating, eight fry in total (although I witnessed the ninth one get gobbled up when trying to fish it out away from its mother). I ended up not going to the pet store after work yesterday as I am sure now that what I got is enough. They seem to like the guppy granules the best! Wish me luck in seeing these fry into adulthood.
