I think my balloon molly FINALLY had her fry but I'm not sure they aren't guppy fry - do they look very similar? I've had her about two months and she's always been fat but no fry til now. I can only see three babies at the minute, maybe some got eaten, I've put them in a breeding box anyway. They are very dark in colour and I think have shorter tails and slightly fatter bodies than my guppy fry but I'm not sure? Can't get a photo ATM. Posted via Mobile Device
Hmm well they are very dark if not black but otherwise look a lot like guppy fry! Anyone know if guppy or platy fry ever come out this colour? I have platies too Posted via Mobile Device
I had a balloon belly molly that had birth to 21 babies and her babies just had another baby. So we are pretty familar with balloon belly molly fry. They are small they will either be dark brown/black or white. But ocasionally they will 'change' their color as they grow like we had a black fry, but now that he is older he is white.
i had one guppy give birth to dark guppy fry and right now at 9 weeks old and they look like mickey mouse platies now but they r guppies cause i never had platies b4 so it depends
Hmm I guess we shall see! I've had hundreds of guppy fry n they've always been colourless too as far as I can remember, certainly never this dark! Do the balloon molly fry look any different bodywise? Posted via Mobile Device
