Me too!
When I bought my black tailed female she was very small, almost like the male. And her gravid spot wasn't very big or dark. So I don't think she was pregnant. I put her in the breeding tank with the "two tailed" male :) but I don't know if they did their thing or not..

I bought more today.
I bought a pair of what the lady said were "show" guppies.. I put the pair in the breeding tank so the other male don't get after her. Although I'm sure shes already pregnant. All of these male and female guppies were kept together.

And a male with a back fin that was nipped at. He's got a great tail.. but the tank this fish was in was over crowded with several different types of fish.

And a black tailed male that I couldn't resist!

I should really quit buying fish lol!

Just a thought: you might want to put a bit of mesh (some pantyhose would work) over the intake of that power filter so the fry don't get sucked into it. Some nice looking guppies you've got there!

or buy a breeder net and catch the fry and put them in there....its easy to clean, not expensive and you can keep an eye on the fry for feeding and if theres some fry that arnt feeding :):):)

totally! and just clean it from time to time or what i would do is feed them a little and try to get the food at the bottom to float around so the fry can eat it.

Wow! You have very attractive guppies. Your females too! It is hard to find attractive females... I have one that is bright orange, but she is so aggressive, she will probably never get pregnant. I would put a cover of some sort over your breeder tank because I have had female guppies that have jumped out of tanks without lids.

I don't know if this is true, but in my experience, lyre tailed (split tailed) guppies seem to be sterile. I think too much cross breeding or something. I hope yours does breed though and prove my thoughts wrong!
