Smile Want to bread Black Mollies

So I got two black Mollies today. When I got home I found out one is male and the other female. The female might be prego... not sure though. I know they need to be in a 1:2 ratio so I might get another female as I have gotten attached to the two I have now.

To the point. I haven't thought about breeding till now. I think it might be fun and I hear molly breading is a joy. I don't know really anything about it (except how to tell for pregnancy and that mollies do it a lot and aslo mother will eat her fry) If you guys could direct me to as much info as you can I would be really happy.

I need to know how to sell them too and where and for how much.

Welcome to the forum

Breeding is certainly a project, and what you will need will depend on the level to which you want to take it. You could just keep them in the show tank and let nature take it's course - a laissez faire attitude. On the other end of the spectrum are multiple grow out tanks.

I would start by just keeping the fish. Don't worry about breeding them - it will happen on it's own if you provide them with adequate conditions. From there you can expand if you wish.

125 - BGK, chanchito cichlid, pictus cats, silver dollars, palmas bichir
125 - cichlids (severums, bolivian rams, chocolate), rainbows ( turquoise, red), loaches (angelicus, zebra, kuhli and horseface), plecos (BN, RL and clown), denison barbs, tiretrack eel, pearl gouramis, betta
90 - Congo tetras, african knife, upside down cats, spotted ctenopoma, kribensis, delhezzi bichir
2.5 - betta

I agree with jaysee. Nature will take its course and you'll probably get babies in any event. With lots of cover in the form of bushy live plants, you might be surprised at the survival rate with the fry left with the parents. Getting the additional female is a good idea.
