Babies are so fun! I would say try it out and keep around 7 fry and see how you like it. I house mine in 5gallon plastic Lee's Kritter Keepers with a sponge filter, a few snails, and tons of live plants. I raise baby guppies myself and have a batch of 7 and a batch of 22 up right now. It seems to me that the tank-mates you have will surely and completely gobble up the babies in a heartbeat. I have a floater, but I use it only (ONLY) when I have a guppy who is giving birth and I wasn't ready so im like "OH NOOO!! QUICK QUICK QUICK!!!!" or when I have a lone fry who cant be with my other fry(which is rather rare for me). Other uses are an injured fish when my baby tanks are filled. (Always.....)
I would recommend letting her birth in a seperate tank so she stays without extra stress, and move her back when she's done.
Good Luck to you!! Have fun!!!!!!!
