Tail discolouration.

My female guppy had her tail nipped a week or 2 back by a platy of all fish. However they have since been seperated and her tail has grown back quickly. She has a jet black tail and it was very pretty but where it has grown back the tail is transparent. You can see exactly the outline where it has previously been nipped but the shape and length of the tail has returned to normal.

She's not ill, and it isn't a problem, I was just wondering if the colour will come back to the newly grown part of her tail as it was so pretty before?

It may. I have had the some experience with a different breed of fish. I had a gorgeous Marmalade Cat the got into a tussle with some of the other tankmates. His tale was a vivid orange. When it grew back, it was still orange but not like it was before.
