Swordtail fry not growing help!!!

In my tank, I have had numerous litters and I find my Platy and Swordtail fry grow rather slowly. Even at six months old, the healthiest fry are only about the size of two pinky nails. It also depends on the species I assume, but I encourage the water changes as always. Good luck with your babies. :)
