Strange Question

I have a really strange question. I had read somewhere (and, for the life of me, I can't remember where) that a female fish has the ability to store a 2nd pregnancy w/i herself and not allow it to start to come to term until she has given birth to the current pregnancy.
The reason I ask this stupid question, is because, my Red Velvet Swordtail gave birth approx. 4 weeks ago to 12 beautiful fry. They are now in a plexiglass nursery. This tank is 10 gal w/only the new fry and mom in it. She once again appears to be quite pregnant. Any advise will be most appreciated.
Also, the only PC I have is this work one. It's extremely hard for me to get to this website. I am hoping that someone can E-Mail to me at work.

Thank You for any help in this matter.

It is quite common actually. When I had them I could see 3 borths in almost less time thatn they say on batch can be born. 3 batches in 10 weeks wasn't unheard of. And yes, multiple batches at the same time where one would be born and then the next day I could see light colored eyed eggs in her belly again. And talk about some fat fish! One of the swords that did this was so big she looked like a balloon molly for a couple weeks. I think she had over 100 fry in 3 months.

STRANGE QUESTION

Oh my Lord. What am I going to do w/all the babies? I just found homes for 7 babies from 2 different moms. I have these 12 new ones. And, to think that she's probably pregnant again?????? Her and I are going to have to have a talk. My other tank, which is 29 gal has 2 african clawed frogs and asst. red minnows that represent breakfast, lunch & dinner.
