Question balloon mollies

I bought 2 spotted balloon mollies yesterday and 2 orange platys I have them in a small isolation tank for a while before I add them to my big aquarium. A couple of hours ago I was watching them swim round okay and when I went to switch the lights off a few minutes ago one of the orange ones has comletely vanished, there are no sign of it jumping out of the small gap at the back of the tank and no remains floating in the tank. Is it possible for it to die or be killed and eaten in 2 hours
