For my birthday, I got a pair of koi swordtails. Right now, they are in a 46 gallon with a marbled hatchetfish and some corydoras and shrimp. They are very skittish when I am in front of the tank, but when they don't see me they swim around freely. When I approach the tank, they dash to hide behind the heater. When I acclimated them, but after some time, one jumped out of the acclimation container. It was out for a maximum of 2 minutes, and I picked it up and put it back in water. After 40 minutes of acclimation, I netted them into my tank. I wasn't able to observe them after that because I had to go somewhere.
What do you think is wrong? Water paremeters are fine. In the tank, I have many crypts, a driftwood arch, some rotala indica, micro sword, vallisneria, and java ferrn. Is it because of a lack of cover?
