Question about new addition to tank

My daughter has just gotten me two blue neon guppies..... at least that is all she told me she got *G*
Wil it be ok to add them to my community tank tonight or do i need to isolate them for the off chance they may bring something i don't want into it???

Please help me with this as i don't usually add new fish to an already established tank...... without checking for disease first.

If you have an extra tank I would keep them in the quarantine them in there for a little while to be able to observe them before adding them into the community tank. I know some people don't quarantine and in the past I haven't myself. But when unsure about the source of the fish and especially depending on what you have in the community tank sometimes it is worth taking an ounce of prevention.
