My Guppy is giving birth got about 12-15 so far how long should I keep her in my breeding tank before moving her back into the main tank? I dont want her to eat them all. She has probably been there for 3-5 hours now since she started

ok so congrats on your babys keep her in it with the lights of and put a plant or two so they can hide thats all i did and i have babys right now :-D you should put her in a separate tank for her to give birth and to keep the baby's by themselves so that more of them live hope all the babys make it

Funstuff59 is right, leave her in the breeding tank with the babies for about 12 hours altogether, this will give her time to have them all and to recuperate a bit, and leave the light off or cover the tank with a towel.
Put plenty of plants and stuff in the tank for the babies to hide in, I also put a couple of pieces of plastic water pipe in as well or even an upturned small plastic household plant pot, anything will do.

Aaaarrh, the fishkeepers conundrum........we start off with one tank and soon have twenty, and it still ain't enough.
Here's a suggestion, get a breeding net, they are slightly larger than those breeding box things, catch the babies that you already have and put them in it for a week or so, it won't harm them, this will leave the tank free for the pregnant fish. After a week or so, the babies in the net will be large enough to put in the main tank. I have done this a couple of times and provided it's only a short term thing, then all will be well.
