I have a fish that i got with a bigger tank purchase from an individual.I am not sure if this is a regular sunburst platy just really pregnant or a coral balloon platy which may or may not be pregnant. Can anyone please help me decide if she is pregnant?I know she has the black spot above anal fin but isn't boxy looking just big.She has been hiding during the day alot but has since i got her.She was big when i got her also. The males chase her as well.Pictures included. Thanks for helping!!!!:)

I'm not sure how big your tank is but your gonna what to get more females so the male doesn't harass her to death. I also would not keep her in the breeder box as it will stress her out and she may die. Breeder boxes are pretty worthless in less it's only for small fry temporarily or a few hrs.

I'm also voting for pregnant.

I agree with what has been posted above. Breeder boxes cause a lot of stress to the fish which can cause death. If you have an extra tank 5 or 10 gallon you could move her into it until she drops her fry. Otherwise in the main tank if you add plenty of floating plants you will probably have some of the fry survive. From the way that she looks I would expect that you should see her squaring off soon.
