pregnant balloon molly--problems

I have had an orange balloon molly that I have been sure would give birth any second for about 2 weeks. I've actually owned her about a month and a half and after I confirmed to my satisfaction that she was pregnant and not just a fat fish with munchies (she eats like i've never seen before), I moved her to a well planted 10g.'s been a while. I'm eagerly looking forward to the babies, but it's almost affecting me socially. I'm anxious when I leave because I want to be there to protect the fry (last time one of my balloon mollies gave birth, i wasn't there, and only managed to save 2 fry)

I've read some instances, not sure if they're true, but that sometimes they won't give birth at all, and that if the circumstances aren't right, they'll just die pregnant. Her orange color has started fading (perhaps because shes become so pregnant) and she acts strange (rubs on the sand, on plants). Is there anything I can do to help??

How long has she been pregnant/fat? Mollies are live-bearing fish and after a gestation of between 28 and 35 days, free swimming fry are born, which swim straight for cover under and among plants. So if it is a planted aquarium you should have no worries leaving the house because when she gives birth the fry will hide in the plants! :)
